Just look out for which channel that day is being shown on. With the main ITV Channel, plus ITV3 and ITV4 all used during the year.

Their coverage comes across three meetings at Sandown, Chester and York – with the Race To The Ebor Grand Cup  Stakes (3:00pm) at York one of the big highlights.

ITV Racing – The History 4u6x6b

In the past it was Channel 4 and the BBC that shared the UK horse racing coverage.

However, all this changed in January 2016 when Channel 4 lost their UK horse racing broadcasting rights after 32 years to the ITV network.

ITV Racing was then launched in January 2017 and remains the only terrestrial TV channel in the UK that shows horse racing.

Channel 4’s last broadcast day was on December 27th 2016. When it aired the Christmas horse racing from Kempton Park and also the Welsh Grand National from Chepstow.
