Ascot have announced they will donate £5k to the Retraining Of Racehorses charity for each Ryan Moore-ridden winner at Royal Ascot in 2025 – which is the second year the premier track has made this generous offer and something that cost them £30k in 2024.

Ascot Racecourse Backing Top Charity At 2025 Royal Meeting – As Long As Ryan Moore Rides Some Winners 4i4o64

There are not many horse racing punters that can honestly say they don’t like backing Ryan Moore-ridden horses.

In fact, we’d be amazed if you can find any.

Moore (41) is considered one of the best jockeys in the world and having been crowned top rider at Royal Ascot ten times, he’s sure to be the ‘punters pal’ at the 2025 meeting once more.

The good news, however, is that it won’t be only punters that will be cheering his wins – as leading charity, The Retraining of Racehorses, will also be heading to the payout counter.

This because Ascot racecourse are back for more in 2025 with their offer of giving the charity a cool £5k for EVERY Ryan Moore-ridden winner over all of the 2025 Royal Ascot dates.

The offer was started last year (2024), which saw Moore ride six wins. While, even though the offer wasn’t in place – he managed six Royal Ascot winners in 2023 and seven in 2022..

Therefore, with another strong book of rides, with many for top Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien – we can expect Ascot racecourse to be digging deep again for this worthwhile cause.

In total Ryan Moore has ridden 85 Royal Ascot winners over his career – which is seven more than the 78 winners Frankie Dettori has managed.

He added six more winners at the Royal meeting in 2024. Which included Auguste Rodin, who is a former Aidan O’Brien Epsom Derby winner, landing the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes.

Moore also won the 2025 Ascot Gold Cup – the feature race on Ladies’ Day on the how retired Kyprios.

And it will be a brave man that says he won’t be adding to his haul of winners at the meeting in 2025.

Ahead of Ascot announcing they will run the donation again, Ryan Moore said.

“It was great to raise £30,000 last year for this initiative and hopefully I can ride a few more winners again this year to make a significant contribution to this vital charity.”
