Bryson DeChambeau is set to defend his U.S. Open title at Oakmont this week but he’s been in the spotlight for another reason heading into the third major of the season. DeChambeau’s LIV Golf contract is set to expire in 2026, and while he’s been adamant about staying on board, the two-time U.S. Open champion knows his worth.
In 2022, DeChambeau signed a four-year deal worth between $125 to $150 million and he’s set to earn more than double that amount on his next contract.
Even though he no longer plays on the PGA Tour, DeChambeau has arguably become the face of golf in the post-Tiger Woods era and that’s not going to change any time soon. DeChambeau’s YouTube channel already has 2.04 million subscribers, nearly 27% more than the entire PGA Tour YouTube channel (1.61 million).
After winning the U.S. Open last year, DeChambeau has guaranteed himself a spot in the U.S. Open through the 2034 season, along with exemptions for the Masters, PGA Championship, The Open, and the Players Championship through 2029.
DeChambeau’s Next LIV Golf Contract Could Reach $500 Million
In 2024, Jon Rahm signed a reported $300 million contract with LIV Golf after winning two major championships (2021 U.S. Open; 2023 Masters).
DeChambeau, now a two-time major winner himself, will be able to command as much, if not more than Rahm heading into his next contract. DeChambeau has the type of rare personal brand in golf that carries real strategic value and he appears ready to leverage that in contract negotiations.
His YouTube channel has provided him with a younger-facing and more culturally relevant audience, something that both LIV and the PGA Tour both covet. Last year, his major win helped add credibility to the LIV Golf brand and he has the ability to engage audiences, attract sponsors and drive viewership.
When factoring his current sponsors, his growing YouTube channel, and recent success on the golf course, DeChambeau could be setting himself up for his biggest payday yet.
Estimates for his next LIV Golf contract could range anywhere between $400 to $500 million, depending on the length of the deal.
“Nex year is when [the contract] ends,” DeChambeau said when asked about his future. “We’re looking to negotiate at the end of this year. They see the value in me and I see the value in what they can provide.”
LIV Golf Opened Doors To New Sponsorship Opportunities For DeChambeau
Some golf analysts believed that DeChambeau’s presence on LIV Golf may have hurt his potential sponsorship opportunities, negating some of the financial benefit of leaving the PGA Tour.
However, DeChambeau dispelled those notions at the 2025 U.S. Open. During his press conference, he mentioned how LIV Golf has been very freeing for him, in a very good way.
A long list of companies have lined up to associate themselves alongside one of golf’s biggest and most relatable stars, including Qualcomm, Reebok, Rolex, Google, and more.
Instead of deterring companies from partnering with him, ing LIV Golf helped him re-establish who wanted to be a part of the Crushers, his YouTube content, and who he wanted to continue to long-term.
“From a sponsorship perspective, we’re starting to move now. We got a lot of great revenue coming about.” DeChambeau said at Oakmont.
“Probably in a year from now, I hope to unveil some incredible master plans of what we’re going to do with the Crushers. There’s some exciting stuff down the line.”
Ironically, that timeline fits right in with his potential contract extension.
