Arsenal Transfer News: Sesko Set For Gunners Switch As Talks Reach Advances Negotiation Stage jc2i

RB Leipzig star striker Benjamin Sesko looks like he could be on the move to north London this summer with a move to Arsenal reaching advanced stages.

The Slovenian striker has been on the Gunners’ radar for quite some time now, with Mikel Arteta having attempted to sign the 22-year-old both last May and during the January transfer window at the beginning of the year too.

Now, it looks like it could be third time lucky for Arsenal in their attempt to sign the prolific striker.

It’s been no secret that if Arsenal are to close the gap on Liverpool and advance on their third consecutive second place finish in the Premier League, then they need a goal-scoring striker. Sesko fits the bill perfectly.

Arsenal’s transfer news has been relatively quiet so far, other than Sesko and the potential g of Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres. Now it looks like Arteta is opting for Sesko out of the two, with Gyokeres closing in on g for Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Benjamin Sesko’s proposed Arsenal move is gathering momentum day by day, with Gunners fans optimistic of officially landing the star striker in the coming weeks.

Benjamin Sesko Arsenal Move Almost Complete 3vn70

Fabrizio Romano first revealed that Arsenal, who have endured yet another trophyless season, were holding talks with Benjamin Sesko over a proposed move to the north London club last week.

These reported initial concrete talks have evidently gone well, with Sesko’s proposed move to the Gunners developing day by day.

The 22-year-old has been on Mikel Arteta’s radar for a while now. The Slovenian forward has been on the radar of the recruitment and management team of the Emirates club for quite some time, and now it looks like their persistence has paid off.

Arteta is evidently a big fan of Sesko, having first approached the prolific striker in May 2024. After an initial unsuccessful approach, the Gunners tried again in January but were once again pushed back.

Now, it looks like it could be third time lucky for Sesko and his Arsenal move.

The RB Leipzig striker has scored 27 goals in his 64 appearances for the German club, having scored 21 goals in 55 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg prior to that.

On the international front, Sesko has scored 16 goals in 41 appearances for his country since his debut in 2021.

Gunners Fans React To Sesko’s Proposed Arsenal Transfer 2m3o2n

Benjamin Sesko’s proposed Arsenal move has certainly got Gunners fans talking on social media. The vast majority of fans seem optimistic about the g, with others perhaps not as thrilled.

Some fans have vented their frustration, insisting that they would have preferred to sign the likes of Alexander Isak from Newcastle or Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting .

One fan said on Twitter (now X): “Why Sesko and not Isak? Isak is more experienced and has done it in the EPL.”

Another added: “Arsenal need an experienced striker like Isak, they don’t need a project striker like Sesko.”

Although these comments seem fairly negative, there are some Gunners fans excited about Sesko’s proposed move to north London:

“This could be g of the summer. Genuinely feel Arsenal are one decent centre-forward away from winning the Premier League.”

The feeling is that the g of Sesko could move Arsenal a step closer to the Premier League title. However, could a leaky defence still be costing the Gunners too? Time will tell.
