Chelsea continued their hunt for the top four and now take up the fourth spot in the Premier League after their 1-0 win over David Moyes’ Everton.
Enzo Maresca’s side made a strong start to the early-afternoon kick off and were almost ahead after 10 minutes through Noni Madueke.
Jordan Pickford kept his fellow England international out with a strong save and kept Everton in the match on several occasions.
However, in the 27th minute Chelsea would take the lead through their talismanic striker, Nicolas Jackson, scoring his first goal since December 2024.
Some poor hold up play from Beto allowed Enzo Fernandez to find the Senegalese striker and he found the bottom left corner from just inside the area.
Chelsea continued to have the majority of possession while the Toffees struggled to implement their game plan on the match and the Blues went into the break with a slim lead.
The second half followed a similar trend as Chelsea continued to get the better of Everton and Madueke continued to be a threat.
David Moyes’ side had some chances of their own with the best falling to Beto, who forced a superb save from Robert Sanchez.
Jackson thought he had scored his second goal of the match in the 85th minute, however his rebounded effort was ruled out for offside.
The match dwindled out towards the latter stages and Chelsea held on to earn all three-points at Stamford Bridge.
