Robert Lewandowski scored a brace (54′, 56′) while Lamine Yamal (80′) and Raphinha (84′) netted a goal each to propel the Catalans to a memorable win.
Barca and Madrid’s next meeting came in the Supercopa de Espana final at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on January 12, 2025. Once again, the Catalans came out on top, with Barcelona beating Real Madrid 5-2 on that day.
Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for Los Blancos in the fifth minute, but Barcelona responded emphatically in the last 20-odd minutes of the first half, going 4-1 up. Lamine Yamal scored the equaliser in the 22nd minute before Robert Lewandowski (36′) and Raphinha (39′) put Barca in the driving seat. Deep into the first-half stoppage time, Alex Balde made it 4-1 for Barca.
