Craig Bellamy is the first Wales manager to go undefeated in his opening four games of the national side after the Dragons beat Montenegro 1-0.

The former Premier League bad boy made history as Harry Wilson’s penalty secured all three points at the Cardiff City Stadium on matchday 4 of the UEFA Nations League.

Monday’s victory helped banish the memories of their last outing in Reykjavík. After going 2-0 up, Bellamy’s side was only able to draw with Iceland as Logi Tomasson and a Danny Ward own goal ensured a share of the spoils.

Craig Bellamy will be the toast of Wales after his superb start to life as the national side’s manager. Becoming the only boss not to taste defeat in his first quartet of games is no easy feat.

Since taking over the reins from Rob Page, Bellamy has won two and drawn two in the UEFA Nations League. His victories have seen him get the better of Montenegro on both occasions.

Alongside the stalemate with Iceland, a credible point was ed against Turkey in Bellamy’s first outing as Wales manager. The Dragons next outing is against the Turks in Kayseri on November 16.

Harry Wilson Equals Gareth Bale’s Scoring Streak 3ft5m

Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson has proven to be Craig Bellamy’s best player during his short tenure as Wales boss. There are certainly not many who can match a scoring streak set by legend Gareth Bale.

However, that is exactly what Wilson has achieved in the last four weeks. The 27-year-old becomes the first Dragons star to net in three consecutive games since Bale did at Euro 2016.

Wilson’s penalty was enough to keep Bellamy’s promotion chances alive. The former also netted against Iceland and in the reverse fixture against Montenegro in September.

Will Wilson make it four in four against Turkey in November? The best football betting sites in the UK have all the latest odds and markets. Meanwhile, scroll down for Wilson’s winner which helped create Bellamy’s Wales history.
