Watch England Vs Italy highlights as England ran in seven tries to beat Italy and keep their faint Six Nations title hopes alive.

England secured a convincing win against the Azzurri in Twickenham to ensure they are poised to capitalise on any French slip-up next weekend.

Steve Borthwick’s side started fast as number eight Tom Willis powered over, but Italy struck back through Ange Capuozzo.

Despite looking more willing to attack then in previous weeks, some stern Italian defence and excellent running meant the gap was only four points at half time.

Tries from Tommy Freeman, Marcus Smith, Tom Curry and an Ollie Sleightholme brace meant the result was never in doubt by the time Ben Earl crossed for England’s seventh try.

But Tommaso Menoncello hit back for the visitors to soften the scoreline and lift Italian fans.

Nevertheless, England will be happy to have secured a bonus-point win and set up a Super Saturday showdown with three teams still able to lift the trophy.

The victory was marred somewhat by the first-half injury to England centre Ollie Lawrence, though.

Lawrence went down suddenly after pulling up with what looked to be a ruptured Achilles tendon, ending his season and chances of going on this summer’s Lions tour.

This forced an early change as fullback Elliot Daly moved to 13 and Marcus Smith came on at fullback, with both looking assured throughout.

England’s victory means they are still in with a chance of winning the Six Nations title.

They will need to beat Wales in Cardiff, ideally with a bonus point, and hope fail to beat Scotland in Paris.

Should the French fluff their lines, an English win would mean they took home the trophy.

But with dominating Ireland at the weekend, the chances of a Scottish victory are slim.

Ireland could also still win the title despite their loss to .

The Irish face Italy in their final game, and could also capitalise if England and both lose.
