After months of speculation, negotiations, rumours and plenty of back-and-forth, it seems the Conor Benn super-fight is officially on.

That’s according to His Excellency Turk Alalshikh, who took to social media in the early hours of Wednesday morning to confirm that the fight is done. The Saudi Arabia boxing chief also confirmed that the bout will take place in London in April, with no official date or venue announced just yet.

There had been speculation already this week that Eubank Jr vs Benn would take place on April 26th in London, which could be the case. However, Alalshikh has revealed that he will announce the date and location of the all-British grudge match in due course.

It seems that the fight is now officially on, over two years on from their first scheduled meeting in October 2022. Since then, Chris Eubank Jr has had three fights. Two with Liam Smith before an outing in Riyadh at the back end of last year.

Conor Benn on the other hand has fought just twice since April 2022. This is due to his ongoing case with UKAD, the British Boxing Board of Control, VADA and other boxing governing bodies. This came after initially failing two performance enhancing drugs tests in fight week of the scheduled ‘Born Rivals’ showdown with ‘Next Gen’ in October 2022.

However, that all seems to be behind Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn is finally over the line and will go down in the capital in April this year. What a treat for British fight fans in just a few months time!

With the Eubank Jr vs Benn fight now official, His Excellency has also promised to deliver a ‘tough undercard’ in London in April. No names have been confirmed just yet, but expect fireworks prior to the main event between the two bitter rivals face off once and for all.

As well as a stellar undercard, Alalshikh has revealed he will try his best to make it s £19.99 pay-per-view price for British fans. Boxing PPV’s have gone up in recent times, but £19.99 for a fight of this magnitude along with a stacked undercard most definitely provides fans with exceptional value for money.
