Everton Vs Liverpool Player Ratings 1m681r

Everton 183w58

Jordan Pickford – 7 1m1l6l

Pulled off a couple of miraculous saves during the game, but was at fault for Liverpool’s second. Pickford parried a Curtis Jones shot tamely into the path of Salah who had an open goal at his back post.

Jake O’Brien – 6 41g33

Was dependable when called upon and kept the in-form Cody Gakpo quiet all night, although wasn’t able to get forward very much though.

James Tarkowski – 9 4v66g

Looked solid at the back on his 100th start for Everton, made a crucial clearance on the line to keep the score level heading in to half time. Scored a miraculous equaliser in the 95th minute with a thumping volley from close range.

Jarrad Branthwaite – 8 4w726v

Really nice assist for Everton’s first from a quick free kick and the centre back thought he had a goal in the second half, but the linesman quickly flagged for offside. Looked comfortable at the back throughout and kept a usually productive Liverpool front three quiet.

Vitalii Mykolenko – 7 5f525w

Rarely able to get forward but when he was able to get into the Liverpool half looked dangerous with some threatening crosses from deep.

Jesper Lindstrom – 7 1c3h3d

Cautioned early for dissent, leaving him in a precarious position heading into the second half.

Idrissa Gueye – 6 3z1m67

Fouled Luis Diaz off the ball when running back to defend, giving Michael Oliver no choice but to show a yellow card. Did well to contain the Liverpool midfield in the second half while on a caution.

James Garner – 7 2i234u

Put a solid shift in and covered almost every blade of grass in Goodison Park before being replaced by Ashley Young shortly before full time.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 7 92b6s

Held his own against some of the best midfielders in the league and was unfortunate to get booked for a high tackle in the first half. Missed a big chance to put Everton ahead in the second half with a free header in the box sailing wide. Was shown a red card after the final whistle for dissent

Iliman Ndiaye – N/A 594n60

Arguably Everton’s best player so far this season was forced off the pitch in tears just before the half hour mark with a serious looking injury.

Beto – 8 5hy2l

Was brilliant for Everton’s first goal of the game, timing his run to perfection to sneak in behind the Liverpool defence. The finish was as good as the run with a lovely low strike under Alisson giving Everton an early lead. Caused a constant problem for Van Dijk and Konate right until the final whistle.

Substitutes 4x1v18

Jack Harrison – 7 (on for Iliman Ndiaye 25′) 622h4l

Tim Iroegbunam – 6 (on for Idrissa Gueye 76′) 3j1e5m

Carlos Alcaraz – 6 (on for Jesper Lindstrom 76′) 422y71

Ashley Young – N/A (on for James Garner 87′) 3d265l

Liverpool 5l4z5m

Alisson – 7 5l2b3g

Did well when called upon and even kept Liverpool in the game during the second half with some sharp saves. Arguably could have done better for the Beto goal but like all of Liverpool’s defence he was caught out by the quick .

Conor Bradley – 7 3i4o

Did well to escape a yellow card early on, but was cautioned in added time of the first half for a late challenge. Arne Slot was forced to withdraw the youngster just before the hour mark with Bradley narrowly escaping a second booking on his first Merseyside derby.

Ibrahima Konate – 8 1b3c4x

Another solid game for the Frenchman who was on the wrong end of Beto all night. Won every arial duel that he contested (7/7).

Vigil Van Dijk – 8 3co1i

Liverpool’s rock at the back yet again stood out in defence and alongside Konate the Reds captain was able to keep Beto quiet on an evening where he looked dangerous.

Andrew Robertson – 6 575b6o

Shown a yellow card early on after a careless shove in the back, but it was kicking the ball away that earned the Scotsman a caution. Tussled well with Lindstrom all night with both shown a yellow for fouls on each other.

Ryan Gravenberch – 6 6g2q5b

The usually dominant midfielder struggled to get into Wednesday’s derby and he was withdrawn just after the hour mark as Liverpool chased a winner.

Alexis Mac Allister – 8 4p37i

Managed to leap above a towering Everton defence for the game’s second goal with an inch-perfect glancing header. Took control in midfield during a game where Liverpool looked vulnerable down the middle at times.

Dominic Szoboszlai – 7 444w40

Tested Pickford with a really dangerous shot from outside the box in the first half but struggled to get into the game during the second period.

Mohamed Salah – 9 6k1p2y

Beautiful assist for Liverpool’s equaliser, with an inviting cross to Mac Allister getting the Reds back on level . Quiet mostly throughout the game but Salah continued his knack of popping up at the right place at the right time to give Liverpool a late lead.

Lus Diaz – 7 5u2315

Proved to be a constant nuisance throughout the game with his gamesmanship, wasn’t able to threaten the Everton goal much though.

Cody Gakpo – 6 b652t

Struggled to continue his good recent form with a quiet evening. Had no real chances going forward and was hooked for Darwin Nunez with 25 minutes left to play.

Substitutes 4x1v18

Cutis Jones – 5 (on for Ryan Gravenberch 61′) 3r1va

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7 (on for Conor Bradley 61′) 6t695h

Darwin Nunez – 6 (on for Cody Gakpo 69′) 6ks5b

Diogo Jota – N/A (on for Luis Diaz 86′) p1y4q
