Former UFC title holder Holly Holm will return to boxing after g with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), owned by Jake Paul.

Forty-three-year-old American Holm is a former multiple boxing world champion.

She later switched to MMA and ed the UFC in 2015, winning the UFC bantamweight title by knocking out Ronda Rousey with a head kick.

In total, Holm won eight of her 16 UFC fights.

Jake Paul’s MVP promotion has signed some huge names in women’s boxing.

Speaking about having signed with Jake Paul’s promotion, Holly Holm looked forward to the new opportunity.

She said: “This new chapter is going to be an exciting journey, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

“Coming full circle back to boxing… I’ve spent most of my MMA career at 135 pounds (9st 9lb), and now I have the opportunity to make my boxing debut at that weight.

“With boxing titles in three higher weight classes under my belt, I’m eager to pursue a fourth title in a new division.”

As a boxer, Holly Holm debuted professionally in 2002. She won 33 of her 38 bouts, taking world titles in three different weight divisions.

Since moving to MMA in 2011, she won 15 of 32 professional bouts over a 13-year period.

Chantelle Cameron, Savannah Marshall Ellie Scotney and Ramla Ali have all ed the Jake Paul’s American-based promotion.

Although Paul divides opinion within the boxing world, he still draws enormous crowds and has extensively championed the women’s side of the sport via MVP.

The first fight for Holly Holm under MVP will be on 28 June, when she takes on Mexican Yolanda Vega at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California.

The lightweight bout will be contested over 10 two-minute rounds.
