Gianni Buttice provides his three best differentials for your teams for FPL Gameweek 28, including an overlooked Crystal Palace winger.

With only three months and 11 gameweeks of Fantasy Premier League remaining, finding a consistently good and high-upside differential isn’t easy — but as always, we should be on the hunt.

Here are my top three midfielders to buy ahead of Gameweek 28, all under 3% owned.

FPL Differentials Gameweek 28 1a706z

Ismaïla Sarr 69111f

Having started the last 19 league matches, Sarr is Crystal Palace’s first choice down the inside right. Often the most advanced player, he offers a strong goal threat—his brace last time out took him to six league goals this season.

While Jean-Philippe Mateta’s absence could lessen Sarr’s appeal, fixtures against Ipswich and Southampton offer explosive potential. Crystal Palace do blank in Gameweek 29, but many managers will play their Free Hit that week. Additionally, Gameweek 32 presents a double gameweek for The Eagles alongside Newcastle.

Yankuba Minteh 4o1l5y

The Brighton winger is now a nailed starter on the right side of an increasingly exciting attack. With two goals and one assist in his last three league games, Minteh is showing the potential we glimpsed in pre-season.

His goal-scoring ability was evident in last season’s Eredivisie campaign, and as he adapts to the Premier League, Brighton have high hopes. At just £5.0M, he doesn’t need to be in your XI every week. With Brighton’s strong end-of-season fixtures, he could remain in your squad until Gameweek 38.

While Kaoru Mitoma is the more attractive pick, he’s significantly more expensive and now over 10% owned—compared to Minteh’s sub-2% ownership.

Savinho 2q1q1q

At £6.2M, Savinho is an affordable way into the Manchester City attack. Having played 90 minutes in each of the last four league games, he’s now considered first choice by Pep Guardiola.

While City attackers are known for rotation, Savinho’s recent form has earned him consistent minutes. His output so far—two assists in four games—isn’t spectacular, but his underlying data is improving.

With a favorable fixture run ahead, there’s upside in backing City’s attack. Many will rightly return to Erling Haaland, but doubling up could be a smart differential play.
