After his controversial draw with Lamont Roach last time out, the Gervonta Davis next fight could see an immediate rematch between the pair in the summer. After that, could ‘Tank’ fight Shakur Stevenson or Vasyl Lomachenko?

Gervonta Davis Next Fight: ‘Tank’ Set For Lamont Roach Rematch? 1y6u4

Gervonta Davis is without any shadow of a doubt one of the biggest stars in the sport of boxing right now. The American lightweight fighter is widely regarded as one of the best fighters on the planet, not to mention being one of the most concussive punchers pound-for-pound.

Talk of when Gervonta Davis might be back in action is rife, given how his last fight went on March 1st against Lamont Roach. ‘Tank’ was the overriding favourite with the best UK betting sites, but the fight didn’t exactly go to plan.

The bout was deemed a majority draw, with two judges scoring it 114-114 and one judge just edging it to Davis. This is the first fight Davis didn’t win in his professional boxing career, meaning the Gervonta Davis record is now 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts.

In regards to his next fight, Davis is likely to rematch Roach after their controversial first fight. The 30-year-old may have even got lucky, having also taken a knee in Round 8 momentarily with no points deduction.

Talk of a rematch has dominated the media since March 1st, with many people believe ‘Tank’ should have suffered his first defeat. That being said, he didn’t officially lose and his unbeaten record remains in tact.

The American is still one of the biggest stars in US boxing, as well as being one of the most accomplished and well-rounded. At just 30-years-old, Davis has already conquered both the super-featherweight and lightweight division.

He has beaten fighters such as Ryan Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz and Mario Barrios already, as well as being universally recognised as the world’s best 135-pound fighter on BoxRec.

Time will tell who Gervonta Davis’ next fight is against, and whether it will be a rematch with Lamont Roach or not.

Could Gervonta Davis Fight Shakur Stevenson Or Vasyl Lomachenko Next? 3v4724

Although the Gervonta Davis next fight is likely to be the Lamont Roach rematch, boxing fans are also talking about other potential options. Whether that be unifications at lightweight with some of the other belt holders, or indeed other fights against some big names in different weight divisions.

With that in mind, fights with fellow belt holders such as Shakur Stevenson or Vasyl Lomachenko could be on the cards for Gervonta Davis’ next fight. ‘Tank’ could be on course for a mammoth fight in the summer with either of those two names, if the Roach rematch doesn’t get made.

WBO World Lightweight Title holder Keyshawn Davis is of course another option for Davis, but the Lomachenko and Shakur Stevenson fights make more sense financially.

The fight with Shakur Stevenson seems like it could finally happen in 2025. Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn recently signed Stevenson, and have been mentioning Davis’ name for a summer showdown. They may well get their wish, unless ‘Tank’ explore other options.

Should this Stevenson fight happen, the best UK boxing betting sites would find it hard to split them, with both fighters undefeated. Stevenson posses the better skill and boxing IQ, but the power advantage is most definitely with Davis. The fight would be a compelling watch and one of the biggest of 2025.

If Saudi Arabia boxing chief His Excellency Turki Alalshikh gets involved, all of these aforementioned fights could genuinely happen going forward. Fingers crossed boxing fans get their wish!
