Turki Alalshikh Interested In Millwall FC and Southampton FC 1m2pp
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan revealed that Turki Alalshikh is looking to buy a club in the English Football League, with Millwall and Southampton named as frontrunners.
“No it’s not talk, they are interested because they’ve told me,” Jordan said on the radio show.
“I’ve told them – or tried to talk them out of Millwall, because I don’t think it’s a proper football club but that’s a different discussion.
“But it is Millwall – and he likes Southampton. I suggested Sheffield Wednesday to him, he doesn’t want Sheffield Wednesday.
“He doesn’t want a club in the north. He wants a club in the south, and Millwall and Southampton are the clubs he thinks are interesting to him.”
Alalshikh already has previous experience in football club ownership, too. He currently owns Spanish Segunda Division side UD Almeria and formerly owned Egyptian side Pyramids FC. Not only that, but he has also spent time as the Honorary President of Saudi Pro League side Al-Taawoun.
Not only has Alalshikh shown interest in purchasing an EFL club, but so too has Anthony Joshua, who is considering a ‘serious investment’ into Championship slub Watford.
