Holly Shand’s Best Differential Captain Picks to Gain Rank in FPL Double Gameweek 32 6w3w2z

Holly Shand identifies her top three best differential captain picks for FPL Double Gameweek 32.
Another Double Gameweek is here, with two fixtures for Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.
Alexander Isak dominates the captaincy polls, but there are some very good alternatives as the Swedish striker continues to manage a groin complaint.
So who are the best captaincy differentials ahead of this latest round of Premier League action?

Jacob Murphy – Newcastle United (vs MUN H, CRY H) 672s9
While Isak has seen his minutes carefully managed in recent games, starting three of the last four and averaging around 71 minutes, winger Jacob Murphy has been an ever-present.
He has started 17 consecutive league games, with seven goals and five assists in this time – only Mohamed Salah has ed more goal involvements among midfielders in this same period.
Only Isak has a higher FPL points tally than him from this Newcastle United side, and he also carries the superior form record, with two goals and one assist in the last four gameweeks.
The Magpies are clearly the key team to target for captaincy given that they have two home games in the double gameweek, and with Murphy likely to win the minutes race, he could be the better captaincy pick also.

Jean-Philippe Mateta – Crystal Palace (vs MCI A, NEW A) 6s2d62
Crystal Palace have a far tougher pair of fixtures for their Double Gameweek 32, with trips to Manchester City and Newcastle United, who can each boast two clean sheets in their last four gameweeks.
However, one of those shut-outs for both sides came against Leicester City, a side who have failed to score a single goal in their last eight Premier League games.
The Eagles will be a far stiffer test with Jean-Philippe Mateta leading the line. He has two goals and one assist from his last four Premier League starts to take him to 15 goal involvements for the season.
Last time Mateta visited the Etihad, he notched a goal and an assist for a 12-point FPL haul. Crystal Palace are a formidable force right now, having taken 13 points from their last five league games.

Mohamed Salah – Liverpool (vs WHU H) 186s6h
While the double gameweek assets will always dominate the conversation, especially when it comes to captaincy, it’s important not to overlook the single gameweek players.
Mohamed Salah has to lead that contingent given his record-breaking season where he’s smashed the 300-point barrier with multiple fixtures outstanding.
Consecutive blanks since the international break do bring some concern, though. Despite this, Salah’s record at home this season has been superb, with just two blanks. Plus, he has had five big chances on goal in the last four gameweeks.
One of his biggest returns of this season came in the 5-0 win at the London Stadium in December, where he bagged one goal, two assists and two bonus points for a 16-point haul – one of 17 double-digit hauls for the Egyptian in this campaign.
