British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed in a recent interview that Frank Warren’s heavyweight hope Moses Itauma could face his man Justis Huni for the Interim WBO World Heavyweight Title next.

After his Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury 2 undercard, Moses Itauma is the talk of the heavyweight division.

At just 20-years-old, Itauma looks nailed on to become one of Britain’s next big boxing stars. Given that he is a heavyweight and extremely marketable, Itauma has a bright future ahead of him. Of that there is no doubt.

McKean was supposed to provide a stern test for the 11-0 British heavyweight prospect, but instead turned out to be one of Itauma’s quickest wins. All eyes may have been on Tyson Fury, but Moses Itauma most definitely stole the show.

After his standout performance on the Usyk vs Fury 2 undercard, boxing fans cannot wait to see Itauma back in the ring as soon as possible. His next fight is yet to be confirmed, but it will likely be another step up against a fighter looking to progress to world honours.

Step forward Justis Huni. Huni, the Australian heavyweight prospect signed to Matchroom Boxing, is another fighter with plenty of momentum and hype behind him. Both he and Itauma have world heavyweight title aspirations, with their paths potentially crossing in the future.

However, it has been revealed by promoter Eddie Hearn that their paths could cross sooner rather than later, with a potential fight before the summer. It has even been rumoured that the bout could take place on the next Queensberry vs Matchroom 5vs5 event if it goes ahead this year.

Eddie Hearn revealed in a recent interview with The Stomping Ground that a potential Moses Itauma vs Justis Huni fight could happen next for both men.

Provided neither fighter suffers an injury in training or demands ridiculous money, it looks like all systems go for Itauma vs Huni.

Hearn has itted that he has already had discussions with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions about the potential fight between the pair of heavyweight prospects.

“I think you’re going to see Justis Huni against Moses Itauma and I think it’s a great fight, I really do.

“I think that fight will be for the [WBO] interim world title. We’re already talking to Queensberry about it,” Hearn revealed to The Stomping Ground.

Although discussions are in the early stages, this fight makes total sense for all parties involved. The winner can march on towards world honours before the end of the year, with the loser able to rebuild and come again for sure.

Time will tell if the fight comes to fruition or not, but it is certainly one that boxing fans can get excited about. Should the fight go ahead, Moses Itauma would likely go in as the favourite with the best boxing betting sites in the UK to defeat Justis Huni.
