Luke Littler currently sits top of the 2025 PDC Premier League Darts table, having won Night 2, Night 5 and Night 7 and Night 8 of this year’s BetMGM Premier League.
Reigning world number one Luke Humphries currently sits in second place just eight points behind ‘The Nuke’. ‘Coolhand’ has also won two individual night’s so far in this Premier League Darts campaign.
The only other player to have won an individual night so far this campaign is of course Gerwyn Price. The Welshman reigned supreme in Dublin on Night 3 and Nottingham on Night 6.
Michael van Gerwen is the other player in the Top 4 currently, but the Dutchman is yet to win an individual night. Rob Cross is fifth on 12 points, with ‘The Asp’ behind him in sixth on 10 points.
Chris Dobey is seventh on five points, with Stephen Bunting bottom of the pack with no points yet at all.
After his victory last week in Newcastle, UK bookmakers are favouring Luke Littler to once again triumph in Berlin this week. He faces ‘Hollywood’ in the third game of the evening in the German capital.
The opening match sees Nathan Aspinall face Stephen Bunting, with world number one Luke Humphries facing the in-form Rob Cross in the second quarter-final tie of the evening.
Michael van Gerwen vs Gerwyn Price is the fourth and final quarter-final game of the evening.
What a night of tungsten action we are in for on Night 9 of the 2025 Premier League Darts in Berlin. Will we see any 170 checkouts or perhaps even another nine-dart finish?
PDC Premier League Darts Night 9 Predictions 5f3rq
Nathan Aspinall vs Stephen Bunting (18:15) 2k125v
Stephen Bunting is still on the hunt for his first points of the 2025 Premier League Darts campaign. He aims to claim his first win this Thursday as he takes on Nathan Aspinall in the opening tie of the night.
Surely ‘The Bullet’ wins at least one game at some stage, right? You’d like to think so, but beating ‘The Asp’ in Berlin on Night 9 could be a tough ask.
Aspinall won their last head-to-head meeting in week five of the Premier League, but Bunting did win all three previous head-to-head meetings before that. This includes an 11-1 demolition of Aspinall at The Masters last year.
Expect a relatively close affair, but ultimately it is hard to look past the form guide and go with Nathan Aspinall to come out on top in this one.
Prediction: Nathan Aspinall 6-3 Stephen Bunting 6d374s
Luke Humphries vs Rob Cross (18:45) 6935x
Four weeks ago Luke Humphries and Rob Cross played out an incredible match on Night 5 of the 2025 Premier League. It was Cross who came up trumps on that occasion, despite Humphries hitting a nine-darter.
‘Voltage’ himself then hit a nine-dart leg in his semi-final match against Nathan Aspinall but was then beaten by ‘The Asp’. Cross actually has a very impressive record against ‘Coolhand’, beating him in four of their last five head-to-head meetings.
In fact, Cross has beaten the reigning PDC Order of Merit number one in seven of their last 10 h2h meetings. Can he make it another victory over Humphries on Thursday night and perhaps jump into the Premier League Top 4? Time will tell.
Prediction: Luke Humphries 4-6 Rob Cross 5591d
Chris Dobey vs Luke Littler (19:15) 5238u
The third match on Night 8 of the Premier League Darts in Newcastle sees reigning Premier League and world champion and current table-topper Luke Littler take on Chris Dobey.
Dobey has struggled so far in the Premier League, with only Stephen Bunting trailing him in the current standings. That is a complete contrast to ‘The Nuke’, who is continuing to dominate week after week on the Premier League circuit.
It’s hard to see past Littler here given the form he is in. That being said, ‘Hollywood’ did give Littler a few problems a few weeks back, but ultimately went on to win the entire night anyway. This could be comfortable enough for the 18-year-old.
Prediction: Chris Dobey 2-6 Luke Littler 4y4767
Michael van Gerwen vs Gerwyn Price (19:45) k5x2s
Rounding off the quarter-final action in Berlin is a clash between Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price. These two currently make up the Top 4 behind Littler and Humphries, with Price having won two individual night’s so far to van Gerwen’s zero.
Expect a close affair here between ‘The Iceman’ and his Dutch counterpart, with perhaps even 11-legs required to split them. ‘MVG’ has shown signs of getting back to his best form of late, but Price too has shown he is somewhere near his best right now.
The Welshman won Players Championship 9 on Monday, so will be coming into this quarter-final meeting full of confidence that he can be the king of Berlin and win a third night of the 2025 Premier League Darts campaign.
Prediction: Michael van Gerwen 5-6 Gerwyn Price 4d1555
Night 9 of the 2025 PDC Premier League Darts is sure to be another entertaining one. But who will go on to be crowned champion in Berlin?
Our prediction is that Luke Littler will once again reign supreme this week, winning a record fifth night of the 2025 Premier League Darts campaign as he continues his dominance.
