A ‘true quadruple’ is when a team wins four major trophies — three domestic and the highest European honour — in a single season instead of a calendar year.

Celtic won the ‘true quadruple’ in 1966/67, claiming the Champions League (then called the European Cup), the Premiership, the Scottish Cup, and the Scottish League Cup. All four trophies came in 1966/67.

Since then, we have had multiple Treble winners, but no team had won the ‘true quadruple’ before PSG at the end of May.
