Horse racing fans saw another nine Willie Mullins winners in 2024, with his 100th success at the meeting Jasmin De Vaux in the Champion Bumper – a race he’s mopped up an incredible thirteen times.

He’s also had a lot of success in the Mares’ Hurdle with ten wins, plus the he’s also had seven wins in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle, County Hurdle and Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

12 months ago, Mullins had Icare Allen pulled up as one of the fancies in the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle.

While James Du Berlais did best for him in the Plate Handicap Chase, when 7th – another race he’s yet to get into the winners’ enclosure in.

Then, finally, the Kim Muir Challenge Cup Handicap Chase – which is the last race on day three – is another race that has so-far eluded Mr Mullins. Chavez was pulled up in the contest in 2024.
