Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has ruled out renewing their interest in g Max Verstappen from Red Bull.

Verstappen was heavily linked with Ferrari.

In the new Drive to Survive season, Wolff is seen saying that he would speak to Verstappen after promising Hamilton he wouldn’t pursue a move for the Dutchman as long as he was at Mercedes.

Verstappen opted to stay with Red Bull with Mercedes instead choosing rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli to replace Hamilton.

Antonelli and his Mercedes teammate George Russell are two of the six drivers out of contract at the end of the season.

That means though Verstappen is contracted with Red Bull for the long term, Mercedes have two slots where the Dutchman could fill in 2026.

Wolff addressed speculation of a move for Verstappen ahead of this weekend’s Australian Grand Prix.

Toto Wolff has insisted that Max Verstappen is not on the radar for Mercedes.

He told the media as per BBC: “I think we said it really clear last year, we need to concentrate on our driver line-up.

“I won’t flirt outside if I’m in a good relationship, and this is true for this year too.

“So at the moment, that [g Verstappen], is not on any radar.

“And I don’t plan to shift my concentration away from these guys [Russell and Antonelli]. And make sure that George has some visibility very soon, or has a contract very soon.”
