The 2025 World Cup of Darts is here in what is the only pairs tournament on the PDC circuit.
All of the World Cup of Darts pairings and seeds have been confirmed, with English duo of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries the no.1 seed and overriding favourites to go on to claim back-to-back World Cup’s.
Humphries of course won it with Michael Smith last year, but is paired up with ‘The Nuke’ for the first time as the formidable duo aim to begin a dominant era of English darts.
Peter Wright insists Scotland will show England ‘who’s boss’ if they meet in Sunday’s final, with Wales and Northern Ireland the other two of the top four seeds.
The World Cup of Darts is certainly a unique event, with the two best players from each respective nation coming together to represent their country. There is more than just money on offer, there is an immense amount of pride and ion on show.
Over the course of the tournament there is £450,000 up for grabs in World Cup of Darts prize money that is broken down as per the table below.
Below we have gone through the 2025 World Cup of Darts prize money and how the tournament will be structured.
2025 World Cup Of Darts Prize Money – The Full Breakdown 386153
The prize money for the 2025 World Cup of Darts remains the same this year as it was 12 months ago when England reigned supreme for the first time in eight years.
The prize money increased from £350,000 to £450,000 back in 2023 and has remained the same ever since. This means for the third successive World Cup, there is £450,000 up for grabs between the 40 qualified nations.
The winners will pocket £80,000, with the runners-up getting £50,000 in prize money. The beaten semi-finalists will earn £30,000, with the four beaten quarter-finalists pocketing £20,000.
The eight nations beaten in Round 2 will all earn £9,000, with second place in the group stages earning £5,000 and third earning just £3,000. This means the overall prize pot for the 2025 World Cup of Darts is £450,000.
It is worth nothing that all of these figures will be halved between the pair. So the eventual winners will earn £80,000 collectively, meaning each player earns a purse of £40,000.
Second seeds Wales’ Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price are eying and England upset if they meet in the World Cup of Darts Final, with the Humphries/Littler pair seemingly the ones to beat this weekend in Frankfurt.
If they do, they will win their third World Cup as a duo and take home the £80,000 maximum winners purse (£40,000 each) for being crowned champions.
